MBreda RPO4 Phosphate remove is a phosphate remover specially developed for marine aquariums.

It is designed to help maintain phosphate levels at a healthy, controlled level, which is essential for the healthy development of corals and other marine life in the aquarium. Phosphate is an important nutrient for marine plants and algae, which use it to produce energy through photosynthesis, however, high levels of phosphate in the marine environment can cause problems as it can lead to unwanted algae overgrowth, which can obscure light and compete with corals and other marine organisms for nutrients. This can lead to a decrease in biodiversity and a decline in the health of marine ecosystems. It is therefore important to keep phosphate levels under control in the marine aquarium to ensure a healthy environment for marine life and promote biodiversity. RPO4 MBreda helps to remove phosphate from the aquarium through a chelating process, where the POR4 binds to the phosphate present in the water, forming an insoluble complex that is removed by filtration or sedimentation. The chemical reaction between RPO4 and phosphate (PO4) is a reaction where phosphate ions present in water bind to RPO4. Phosphate ions present in the water are attracted by POR4 and removed by the Skimmer process. In addition, the RPO4 is easy to use, it is only necessary to have a Skimmer in the filtration so that the RPO4 MBreda can remove phosphate from the aquarium. It is an excellent choice for aquarists looking to keep phosphate low and controlled in the aquarium to support the healthy development of corals and other marine life.

How to use: 1. Add 1 drop of RPO4 MBreda for every 20 liters of aquarium water, directly into the skimmer.

2. Use this amount of RPO4 MBreda once a day for 7 days.

3. After this period, perform a phosphate test with a Po4 Precision Kit to calibrate the values. (We have the MBreda PO4 Test Kit which has accurate information of up to 0.01 ppm of phosphate in the water and contains the ideal phosphate levels for coral aquariums in the table).

4. If necessary to further lower the phosphate in the aquarium, perform a partial water change of at least 20% and continue the RPO4 treatment for another 7 days. The recommended daily limit of POR4 is up to 2 drops of RPO4 for every 20 liters, however, the recommendation is 1 drop for every 20 liters so that the phosphate drops progressively, thus avoiding a sudden change in the system, which could cause stress in some coral species, particularly SPS corals. If this limit is exceeded, it can cause cloudiness in the water and leave the fish panting. Weekly treatment can lower phosphate from 0.05 to 0.1 ppm per week, depending on the organic load the aquarium is producing.

Attention: Never zero phosphate completely because it is important for living organisms, the recommendation is at least 0.01 ppm of Po4. It is important to follow the treatment and perform regular tests to ensure that the phosphate is at the desired level and to avoid harming the marine life in your aquarium.
